Dr. Sheldon Feld
Family Physician

Dr. Sheldon Feld graduated from medical school at Queen’s University, where he received the Professor’s Prize in Psychiatry. After a clinical internship, he was licensed to practice Medicine. Instead of entering into a specialty course in Psychiatry, he made the decision to enter Family Practice, where he could not only deal with patients with emotional issues, but a wider scope of medicine in which he had been and continues to be interested.

Soon after entering the medical field in Scarborough, he was appointed Medical Director and Attending Physician for three very large Nursing Home chains in Metro Toronto. He cared for many long term care patients for many years. Early in his career he was appointed active member on a Special Committee for Nursing Home Medical Directors at the Ontario Medical Association. Together with committee colleagues, he established and wrote the first ever guidelines for Medical Directors and Attending Physicians. This was for professional medical care and standards, a Bill of Rights for all Ontario nursing homes, which included some 35,000 residents in long term care facilities.

After leaving his Long Term Care Practice, he enrolled in a course in Hair Transplantation, which he has been performing for over the past twenty years along with Family Practice.

In 2003, he entered into an Association arrangement at the Bathurst Walk-In Clinic, where he has, to date, provided Family Practice medical continued care.

Dr. Feld holds membership in the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario, the Ontario Medical Association, the Section on General & Family Practice of Ontario and is a Member of the International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery.
